Acai bowls have been a food trend for a while because they are quite healthy, exotic and can be decorated beautifully with a range of toppings. I had to share my take on this tasty trend with this recipe that is super easy to make and can be decorated in any way that you desire. I state below that it makes 1-2 servings because it depends on your hunger levels!
Ingredients: (makes 1-2)
- 1 frozen banana, sliced
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 60g frozen mixed berries
- 3 tbsp acai powder
- 125g rolled oats
- 375ml milk
- your desired toppings (I used sliced banana and coconut flakes)
1. Place all of your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Feel free to add extra oats or milk to get the mixture to your ideal consistency.
2. Pour the mixture into a bowl. Add your toppings; get as creative as you wish with the design! Enjoy – it is that simple!
