On the 4th of July, my family and I took the train to Sydney airport to catch an approximately 7 hour flight to Singapore. After we had gotten out of the airport and taken a taxi ride to our hotel, it was late afternoon. We decided to refresh ourselves from the flight by having showers and then we walked to Clarke Quay for a lovely dinner.
Universal Studios on Sentosa Island was how we spent our next day in Singapore. It still took us at least 15 minutes to get into the place even though we got there before it opened at 10am! We went on the most popular rides first before any more people came, including the famous roller coaster Battlestar Galactica which was my favourite. Throughout the day we went on so many wonderful rides and didn’t have to wait in too many long lines, which was great 🙂
On the next day, we enjoyed the iconic Gardens by the Bay. The first place we looked at was the ‘Flower Dome’ which was filled with beautiful flowers and plants from all around the world. After this, we explored the ‘Cloud Forest’ that had a great atmosphere and so many nice plants in it. Next, we saw the really cool supertrees in Supertree Grove on the skyway. In the evening, we walked to Marina Bay Sands and had a drink on the top floor with a stunning view of Singapore. Then we had dinner at a nice vegetarian restaurant called ‘Elemen’ with my dad’s colleague and saw a firework show, which was enjoyable to watch. This was definitely my favourite day in Singapore and I highly recommend seeing these gorgeous gardens and visiting Marina Bay Sands.
Our final day in Singapore was spent simply by having a nice breakfast and making our way to the airport to catch a flight to Thailand for the rest of our holiday.
