Colouring books for all ages is a trend that’s been around for a while. This is because colouring in random shapes and patterns with different coloured pencils is fun for anyone and can really relax you as you focus on the colouring rather than any stressful thoughts or problems that you might be having.
I decided to buy a colouring book a while ago from Kmart which is called ‘Colour My World’ and it has heaps of pages to colour in of random objects, from flowers to animals to even food. I find it really satisfying to colour in objects in specific colours that I choose in order to create a finished product that looks good, and all I did was colour it in!
I really like to use warm colours of pink, red, orange and yellow together for certain objects and then, in contrast, use cool colours of greens, blues and purple together for other objects. Although sometimes I use them all in a rainbow colour scheme which is always pretty and then occasionally I’ll just use a random collection of colours together which still looks good as long as the same coloured shapes aren’t touching! 🙂
Overall, colouring books are such a simple hobby to pick up that only require coloured pencils, creativeness and the ability to stay in the lines when colouring! It’s so easy to just turn on some music, grab out your pencils and colouring book and create a nice, satisfying page. I will say that it can be quite time consuming though, but that just makes the finished products so much more amazing! Let me know in the comments if you enjoy colouring or if you’re willing to give it a try 🙂
