Thailand Trip 2017 – Part 2

May 4, 2017

On the Tuesday we continued relaxing at the resort and found this bar called ‘The Stone Bar’ which became our favourite place to go at night. It had all types of drinks, a pool table and a great vibe to it as it was Bob Marley themed.

Then on Wednesday we all went on a minibus to the Phi Phi Island Tour place. We got on a speedboat that took us out to the first island which I actually don’t know the name of and neither does google maps but it is right above the Phi Phi Islands. We went snorkelling for about an hour there and it was beautiful seeing all the fish swimming around you.

The next place we went to was Monkey Bay where, as you probably guessed it, there were monkeys. It was great how the monkeys were free to do whatever they wanted and had no trainers or cages to control/restrict them. They were really cute and the beach that they lived on was unbelievably beautiful. We then moved to an area of deep water and then went snorkelling again right off the boat! It was really fun and a great experience.

Next we got lunch on a more tourist-populated part of the island. After that we went to the final destination which was Maya Bay. The beach was beautiful and we swam, took loads of pictures and enjoyed the views. The water was the most amazing colour and the sand was as white as flour; it was perfect. After a lovely day we went back to the resort and went straight to bed because it was so good but tiring.

After another day of relaxing on the Thursday we had a full day planned for Friday. We went to this place where they had elephants and sat on them plus bathed them. I was so happy I had seen some elephants because they are Thailand’s national animal and they are beautiful creatures. Next we went to this waterfall where you could jump off the rocks right in front of it. The waterfall was too strong to get close to but it was fun trying to swim against the flow. The last activity we did was tubing which is where you sit inside a tube and move down a river while spinning around and bumping against rocks. It was relaxing at some points and exhilarating at others but it was overall really enjoyable. They provided a massive lunch which was so delicious and then we headed back to our resort.

Saturday and Sunday were quite relaxing and on Sunday night we went to the night markets where I bought a necklace for my mum. On Monday, being our last day, we spent our final time in the ocean and pool and then packed. We took a minibus to the airport and got on the plane that was going to take us back to Sydney. After the 9 hour flight we drove back home to mum and Jedi. Jedi was super excited when we opened the door and couldn’t stop jumping on us. He refused to let us out of his sight for the next couple of days but unfortunately we had to leave him at some points.

Overall it was an AMAZING holiday and I hope you enjoyed reading about it. Let me know in the comments if you have been to Thailand or if you are going somewhere interesting soon 🙂
