It has been a very long time since I had a post about my dwarf beans but a few of them are finally ready to be harvested. To be fair, some beans were ready a while ago and then I forgot about them and so those beans died but because of the recent spring and summer weather more beans are growing again and now some of them are ready to be harvested. This is just a short post to be consistent with my gardening posts and to finally share the dwarf beans that I’ve grown myself.
There is no easy way to tell if they are ready as the dwarf beans differ in size but usually it is when they are a nice green colour, like in my photos, and they appear to have stopped growing for a week or so, although it’s completely up to you how and when you want them. It is very easy to harvest them, you literally just pull the bean off the plant where it changes from plant to bean. Once the beans are off of the plant they need to be washed and then they are ready eat, uncooked or cooked! I hope you enjoyed seeing my sort of gardening success and let me know in the comments what you are growing at the moment, if anything 🙂
