Current Favourite TV Shows

August 10, 2017

Watching TV shows is so easy nowadays with Netflix and other streaming companies as you can pay a small amount each month and receive access to a large variety of movies and TV shows. Due to this, I have watched a lot of TV shows and wanted to share my current favourite ones that you could find useful if you don’t know what to watch or if you want to know my thoughts on them (and I have included a little summary about each of them as well).

Stranger Things:
When a young boy disappears, his mother, a police chief, and his friends must confront terrifying forces in order to get him back.
This TV show is one of my all time favourites because of its amazing storyline and interesting characters, I would highly recommend watching it if you haven’t already.

Teen Wolf:
High school student Scott McCall gets bitten by a werewolf and has his whole life turned around. With his best friend Stiles Stilinski by his side they work through these changes and help save beacon hills from various different supernatural threats.
If you are a fan of fantasy creatures, particularly werewolves, and great actors including Dylan O’Brien then you’ll love this show.

Pretty Little Liars:
Set in the small suburban town of Rosewood, Pennsylvania, the series follows the lives of five girls whose clique falls apart after the leader of the group, Alison, goes missing. One year later, the remaining estranged friends are reunited as they begin receiving messages from a mysterious villain named “A” or “A.D.”, who threatens and tortures them for the mistakes they have made before and after Alison was alive.
This TV show has a storyline that will keep you hooked and so many loveable characters to become attached to.

Awkward:
An unpopular 15 year old gains immediate, yet unwanted, popularity at her high school when the student body mistakes an accident she has for a suicide attempt.
Awkward is so enjoyable to watch because of how relatable and funny it is, would definitely recommend if you want something light and easy to watch.

Riverdale:
After the death of one of the rich and popular Blossom twins on the 4th of July, the small town of Riverdale investigates the murder. The series starts in September, the beginning of a new school year, that brings with it new students, relationships, and reveals the mysteries of the past 4th of July.
Another one of my favourite TV shows because of its amazing mysterious plot and delightful characters.

The 100:
After the earth was destroyed by a nuclear war, the remaining people put together a giant space station called the “Ark” into space to survive. Then after 97 years of living in space the counsel sends the 100 juvenile prisoners down to earth to see if it’s survivable.
This TV show has such a creative storyline which makes it hard to stop watching and characters that you’ll love.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine:
Jake Peralta, an immature but talented NYPD detective in Brooklyn’s 99th Precinct, comes into immediate conflict with his new commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Ray Holt.
I love this TV show so much as it is hilarious and the interesting characters make it so amusing.

Doctor Who:
The Doctor, from a race called the Time Lords/Ladies whose home planet is Gallifrey, travels through time and space in his/her ship the TARDIS (an acronym for Time and Relative Dimension In Space) with numerous companions. From time to time he/she regenerates into a new form.
I have been watching this TV show for a long time and I love it because of its cool plot and lovely characters.

Sherlock:
A modern update finds the famous sleuth and his doctor partner solving crime in 21st century London.
This is probably my favourite TV show currently as it has an amazing cast and spectacular detective plots that will keep you hooked.

Friends:
Rachel Green, Ross Geller, Monica Geller, Joey Tribbiani, Chandler Bing and Phoebe Buffay are all friends, living off of one another in the heart of New York City. Over the course of ten years, this average group of buddies goes through massive mayhem, family trouble, past and future romances, fights, laughs, tears and surprises as they learn what it really means to be a friend.
Such an enjoyable, funny show that has great characters and is perfect to watch over and over again.
